Kids in Phoenix headed back to school this week and generally seemed excited about it...with no family vacations or activities many of these kids are left at home while there parents work throughout the summer. They are excited to go back to school to have something to do...
The most exciting thing this week was....AJ found a job! Or the job found AJ. Once again God has been so awesome providing flexible jobs for both of us. AJ will be working for a carpenter who makes primarily cabinets and Murphy beds. Allot of the same things AJ did when he was an intern out here 5 years ago.
This week Aim Right had a vision day. Leaders and interns at Aim Right met and literally drew out there vision for Aim Right on paper. We also discussed goals and dreams for the future. It was a great time to connect as a leadership team.
New interns are arriving this weekend and I am excited that there is an Iowa girl. Please pray as 2 girls and 1 guy make the transition these next few weeks.

Were still here...
Sorry about the lack of updates lately, we are still in Phoenix! We have been enjoying some less busy summer hours right now and it has allowed us to focus on getting a much needed second car and finding part time jobs.
God has continued to provide and show us that we are supposed to be here with his providing an orthodontic part time job close by for me (Jewel) and a second car so that AJ can find a job too. We feel very blessed!
The ministry here in Sunnyslope is slow but steady, we were approved by the city of Phoenix to volunteer at the community center, meaning our finger prints and back round checks came back clear! Had a bit of a scare with AJ being questioned about his record...turns out there is another Adam J. Miller born on the same day that has a shady past.
Aim Right is on summer break this month but continues to have Monday night Bible Study for the teens, we also have continued Kids Church at Paradise Valley Church with kids here in our community. This happens every Wednesday night and starts out with singing and AJ having a story/character trait for the evening and then breaking into classes. I have been teaching the 1st-3rd graders, and AJ may start teaching the teen age class.
Once again thanks so much for your continued prayers and support! We could not be here without YOU!

Back from camp 2011
yes we have made it back from Teen camp in Colorado!
It was an amazing, rainy, sunny, testing, wonderful week!
So i do not have any pictures yet but i will post some soon. (We had a professional photographer at camp this year so i am waiting on all her awesome pictures!) :)
Camp helped AJ and I get to know the teens a lot better. We were counselors for the week and spent tons of one-on-one time with the teens in our group. Our theme for the weeks chapel services was "Not a Fan...but a Follower" Many commitments were made and many lives changed. Pray for God to continue to to work in these teens lives as they are home now and realizing how hard it is to live out there new commitments.
The week also consisted of lots of team building activities, horse back riding, hiking, group games, tubing down the river. Generally everyone had good attitudes and a good week!
Thanks for your prayers!!! They make the difference! Pictures coming soon!

Blessings and Requests
Week 2 of 3 weeks of VBS is underway, a youth group of almost 60 is here from southern Indiana. They have been flexible and adaptive as Aim Rights hot water heater is not working thus cold showers for the group! Last night was the first night of VBS and it went fairly well.
Blessings:
Youth group here to teach VBS and complete a few work projects.
Lots of kids excited to come to VBS.
Requests:
Continued good attitudes from all volunteers.
Continued excitment and good behaviour from the kids.
Another youth group from Ohio coming on Saturday for next weeks VBS
Water heater fixed!
Thanks again for all you who have encouraged us with your prayers and support! Received a letter this week from a total stranger who wanted us to know that they have been praying that God would send someone to help with skate club in the Sunnyslope area! Thanks for affirmation Father God!
